Dear friends,
I’m in the business of financial wellness. That’s hard these days with so much unhealthy stuff happening in the economy and our world. The last few weeks have been traumatic on so many levels. One thing I have been thinking about it how to manage my own anxieties, fear, and if we are being honest, anger and resentment towards all that is going on.
To a large degree, I have simply retreated. You haven’t seen much activity on my social media channels. I needed quiet.
Now as I try to find a way to re-emerge and function, I have been thinking a lot about the advice my great aunt Mae gave me years ago that always stands the test of time.
Smile and be nice to people.
I’d like to share with you a segment I did with Cheddar’s Kristin Scholer on the topic of financial etiquette recently.
The first question she asked me was how we define financial etiquette. My answer: it’s all about being nice and making people feel comfortable.
I’m curious what you thought about my answers- including
-Gift giving especially with a group
-How to budget for weddings and special occasions
-Friends and family asking for money
-Feeling pressure to spend going out with friends
-How to back out of a financial commitment
Got the Halloween money scaries? You are not alone.
47 percent of Americans have nightmares about money according to Wallethub!
Let’s turn that around and get on a path where money is the tool that gets you to your most amazing dreams.
At Financial Wellness Strategies, our company workshops will help us all face our financial fears.
Our programs are streamlined and focused on putting realistic strategies in place for financial wellness so we can put our money nightmares to bed and wake up ready to turn our money dreams into reality.
We can live our best financial grownup lives at work, and at home even if they are the same thing.
Please put us in touch with your company’s HR department, ERC leaders, or employee engagement team so we can get rid of those money fears and put you and your team on the path to financial wellness.
Never a trick. Always a treat.
